DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS

Welcome to the Department of Computer Applications, which was founded in 2011 and offers the Bachelor of Computer Application, a three-year undergraduate programme. Our department is dedicated to providing a comprehensive and dynamic education in the field of computer applications, equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the ever-evolving tech industry.

The Department of Computer Application offeres a regular three year batchelor’s program in Computer Application.  There are 40 dedicated PCs in our large, contemporary computer lab, all of which are internet-connected. We provide our students real-world project experiences so they may put their academic understanding to use in real-world situations and become proficient in creating applications that are customised to satisfy client needs.

 

OFFERED PROGRAMMES:

Bachelor of Computer Science

The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) is an undergraduate degree program in the field of computer applications. This program is designed to provide students with foundational knowledge and practical skills in computer science and IT. The BCA curriculum covers various aspects of computing, including programming languages, database management, networking, web development, software engineering, and computer graphics.

IT Fest

Every year, intercollegiate IT fests are organised to support and inspire students with real-world expertise. Our students have a strong desire to integrate computer technology into other fields as well.

 
 
Workshop on Hardware Assembling

The hardware assembling program for BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) students is a practical training initiative designed to provide hands-on experience in computer hardware assembly and maintenance.

Workshop on Cyber Security

A workshop on cyber security was recently held at WMO Imam Gazzali (IG) College, conducted by Talrop, a prominent tech company. The event aimed to raise awareness and educate participants about the importance of cyber security in today’s digital age. Attendees, including students and faculty, learned about various cyber threats, protective measures, and best practices for maintaining online safety. The workshop featured interactive sessions, practical demonstrations, and discussions on the latest trends and technologies in the cyber security field, empowering participants to better safeguard their digital environments.

 

Monthly seminars 

Monthly seminars and lectures are organized by both the department and the students to keep up with fast growing technological trends. Discussions on trending technologies are held to make the students aware about the current scenarios.
